Work continues on our Second World War feature film, Rozkvet, easily our most ambitious project to date. This summer we completed a majority of our exterior and location shoots, with Northern Ireland standing in for 1940s Czechoslovakia. Our cast and crew were of a diverse range of age, nationalities, racial backgrounds and experience levels, such as having first-time actors performing alongside the well-respected Czech actor, Pavel Kriz. We are also proud to say that, as promised, all of the Romani characters in the film are authentically portrayed by actors of Romani heritage.

With roughly half of the film completed, we move onto filming the scenes from the play upon which the film was based. We will be building a full interior set for the SS facility that features many of the film’s pivotal moments. This will allow us to craft the space to our needs and not be hindered by the cramped conditions that filming in such an authentic location would entail. Our actors and director and well into rehearsals and relishing the chance to take part in scenes of such intensity. As always, we are immensely grateful and proud of our team and their amazing work to bring this important story to life.
